What Would You Do For Your 7th?

Andy and I celebrated our 7th Wedding Anniversary May 2nd. It was all very romantic let me tell you-we shared our special day with over 35,000 runners!! We started the morning by getting up about 5:15am and heading downtown for one of the biggest half marathon's in the nation! I ran the race and Andy and the kids cheered us on. See below for the cutest cheerleaders a mom could ask for! Romantic huh! My goal was to run it in 10 min miles and I did exactly that-so you'd think I would be estatic (and I was) but my comment to Andy on the drive home was, "I think I can cut 10 more minutes off my time next year!" (What is wrong with me?!) I didn't grab a medal, because...well what am I going to do with it?! But Jackson was so concerned that I have a medal to show that "I won the race", that I borrowed my friend's and got a picture to prove "I won". I always give props to the girls that get me through training! Thanks Anna for all the Saturday morning fun!!

I will have to say the day was not totally devoid of romance. I surprised Andy with the above gem, attached to my running tank. Since I didn't intend for post to be a eye test-I'll translate for you (prepare yourself for cheezy gooiness)! "Happy Anniversary Andy! SEVEN years ago you RAN away with my heart and today it still RUNS for you!" As embarrassed as it made Andy, the guy's got to feel good knowing his wife is willing to tell everyone how much she loves him!! Luckily, the race wasn't the only thing we did to celebrate! Out to dinner that night and an overnighter planned in June-I think we got this one covered!! What do you think Andy, a marathon for our 8th Anniversary? JUST KIDDING!!!
