I am sure if I thought very hard I could come up with an extensive list of things I am grateful for...but I will spare you that...but not entirely.
Eight Things I am Grateful for This Thanksgiving...(and yes, I picked "eight"
because it rhymed with "grate")...
1. I am soo grateful that my dear brother Brian is still alive and continues to kick his stage 4 colorectal cancer in the rear!! Hang in there big bro!!
2. I am grateful my dad, who recently survived his 7th round of chemotherapy, after all these years of being sick he remains faithful and true. Thanks for be such an amazing Father and Grandfather!!
3. I am grateful for my husband, for without him, I am nothing. He is my rock and there is no way I could be the kind of individual, wife, mother and serve in my church callings the way I do without his understanding, love and support.
4. I'm grateful for my Jackson. His observant nature, quick wit and unconditional love fill my days with joy and seeing the world through his eyes adds such a cool dimension to my life!
5. I'm grateful for my Eliza. Extraordinarily-chunkalicously-cute, vivacious and persistant...when she puckers her lips and furrows her brow I know my day will be anything but dull.
6. For all my extended family and friends...(you don't have to be dealing with life changing diseases to make my top 8 list!!) the love and support I feel from my immediate family, my in-laws, Andy's siblings, and our friends here...is humbling. I am grateful for the sense of peace and security their love brings me!
7. For my health, I still can't believe I am in better shape now than I was ten years ago. It is something I do not take for granted ever.
8. For my religion. We live a blessed life. The eternal perspective I gain from living this Gospel and the lasting peace and joy is worth every sacrifice.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope your day is filled with "grates" too!!
(My mom's extended family has gone bowling every Thanksgiving morning for over 30 years, drawing crowds as many as 70 plus people). No matter where Andy and I have lived we've tried to maintain that tradition. Places are rarely open T-day morning, nor have we ever lived by family...so we do the second best thing...bowl Wednesday night with close friends!! Thanks for a fun night guys!)
I don't know how you got Natalie in that pose, but I love that picture! And I am grateful for YOU!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!! One thing on my list is all the wonderful friends that we have...even the ones who have moved away!! Sometimes especially the ones who have moved away and we're still hoping they'll come back!!
