Final Four Weekend...jammin it all in!

Andy's parents arrived into town just in time to join us in an egg hunt...the 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt to be exact. Every year I invite playgroup moms from church and their kids came to our subdivision where we do a hunt in the wilderness area...the weather hasn't always cooperated with us in years past, but it was perfect weather this year and with Spring Break in full swing we had a record breaking attendance. Approx 80 people showed up to play games, pet real "Easter" bunnies, play on the playground, do sidewalk chalk, bubbles, a cupcake walk, an egg-hole toss...and of course hunt for Easter eggs! The kids had a blast!!

Easter morning we, (well we first had to go pick up our kids! A big thanks to the Paul's who wathed the rugrats overnight so we could enjoy the Final Four Tournament all Saturday evening!) anyhow, we talked about the Easter story/why we celebrate Easter and then we sent the kids on a scavenger hunt. Princess frisbees and transformers were among the loot.
The kids never tired of hunting for eggs. We must have played "easter egg hunt" a hundred times during the duration of the Louthain's visit!

Eliza turned 2 on the 5th and we did a Fancy Nancy birthday party for her. The picture right below is her in her new princess jammies and tutu Aunt MaryAnn made her. She was so sweet and all smiles the whole day. She would tear off a piece of wrapping paper that immediately hand the scrap to Andy for disposal. She also loved opening envelopes and promptly put all cash into her new purse!

Eliza is just such a joy in our lives. I can't think of words to sum up how much she means to me or why we love her so much!! From her obsession of snow white, her nonstop talking, love of dancing, mimicing everything Jax does, to her shrugging her shoulders and saying "because" when you asked why she did something...the girl is a hoot and loved by all she hugs and blows kisses to!
We went to the zoo one day and Jax got to ride the rollercoaster for the first time...he liked it so much he made daddy (who isn't so into rollercoasters) ride with him a 2nd time!

NCAA Hoops, Conference, Easter Egg Hunts and celebrations, company in town, Eliza's 2nd Birthday...we jammed it all in and loved every minute of it! I posted a bunch more pics on facebook, so if you have a wierd urge to see more of our mugs-check us out!
