I have a couple of friends that print off their blog each year as a family journal. An idea that I love! What I didn't love was the fact that I haven't blogged since last May. So New's Year's Resolution #1: Update Blog and Blog at least once a month in the future!
It took a lot longer than I thought it would catching up (probably why it's best to just do it on a regular basis, huh!) It's been fun looking at all we did in 2010. I thought I'd do one entry that is "Christmas Card-esk" summing up the family and well, the rest is history!
Eliza is 2 1/2 years old, talks up a storm, is just the most endearing little creature that no one can deny even when she is being bossy! She loves to put on her princess dresses and has been known to go to the grocery store in a tutu. One co-op date night at our home she spent the whole night getting married to Grant over and over again. She loves shakin her booty to a good beat and doing basically whatever Jackson or his friends are doing.
Jackson will be turning 5 this month and is the most patient, asute little kid. You'll have no idea that he is listening to you talk to someone else, then he'll bring up a sentence verbatim later that night. He is also such a sweetheart and such a polite gentlemen holding the door for ladies and all. One of his favorite things to do is go to the nearby driving range with his dad with his own et of golf clubs. He loves his friends so much and usually his first question of the morning is, "Who are we playing with today?" He goes by "Bumblebee" (if a ya please) and has converted more than one kid over to "the transformer side"!
Andy has been with the NCAA for four years and I can not believe how fast our time here has gone! It is a miracle that finally other people are moving in and out of the ward and it's not the "Love em and Leave em Louthains!" Andy really likes his job and always gets a kick out of people's perception of what the NCAA is and does in the sports world. He serves as the Exec. Secretary in the Bishopric (and is currently getting used to 6am meetings every Sunday), and he's done some more woodworking this past year, which he really enjoys.
Me, well I am kicking along, and definitely ready for a new year! I love the book club group I am in, love teaching the mommy run preschool for both Jax and Liza, love doing yoga with friends and love biking with Andy and the kids. I don't know how many people can say that they've had three callings in one year, but I managed to do it, all within the same organization. I am grateful "my lease with the Young Women's" was renewed with the new stake presidency!
Hope those of you who are reading this are doing well! We're always very thankful in our prayers for our family and friends!!
